Mercurio Shows Off in Delaware!

Brian Mercurio showed up for the second race of the season ready to go. He started on pole, and aside from some green flag stops, essentially led flag to flag. The race was slowed down via two incidents, one early and one late which flipped the strategy a few drivers had going on it’s lid and setup the field for a quick dash to the finish. Newcomer Chase Alvey had a strong showing with Jacob Fisher, but got hurt by the late caution and relegated to 6th and 7th, respectively. Kyle Riley continued his success, as well as Ryan Nawrocki as they finished 2nd and 4th, putting Riley atop the points lead. Matt Wishart was another new name, from the FTF Racing League and had a strong showing with the right strategy, leading to a 3rd place finish. Jon Palmieri followed up his Daytona win with a frustrating 24th place finish after being involved in the final accident of the day. Next week the series heads to Watkins Glen where anyone can come out on top…
