Brian Mercurio gets his 3rd win of the season after frustration at Las Vegas and puts to bed the chain of new and different winners from the past 3 weeks. Jacob Fisher follows up his worst finish of the season with his 5th runner up finish on the year. The race featured one competition caution which restacked the field, and led to some interesting pit strategy. However, Mercurio and Fisher were the class of the field and it showed with 10+ seconds over the third place car of Andrew Schwartz. Michael Frisch earns the hard charger this week with a 4th place finish from 20th and Jonathan Taylor drove a consistent race to go from 8th on the grid to 5th. Next week begins our run to the championship race at Homestead with the first of two back to back intermediate races. Everyone will see who can actually run that high line at Kansas, and if Briand Mercurio can continue chipping away at Jake’s points lead.
